Description Benno Schulenberg 2006-01-11 14:51:59 UTC
When browsing with Konqueror through say Gentoo's ViewCVS, say on
http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/portage/man/emerge.1?root=gentoo-src&rev=1.74&view=log
and then left-clicking on the "download" thing of some version, the file opens here in KWrite. If I then hit Alt-F,A (_File, Save _As), type some name and hit Enter, the contents of the file disappear, and a file of zero-length gets saved to disk. In KDE-3.4.* it didn't use to do this, instead I could simply save the file, but now in KDE-3.5 it blanks the file consistently, every time.

The same happens when opening the file in Kate instead: a blank file gets saved.

(When using Firefox there's no problem, as clicking "download" opens the file in the browser itself, and Ctrl-S then allows me to save it.)

Emerge --info:

The patch listed here fixed the issue for me.

Minor issue, will be fixed with KDE 3.5.1.
