I've made an ebuild for LinPopUp v1.2.0 (http://www.littleigloo.org). LinPopUp is a program to emulate (and extend) Windows's WinPopup program for sending messages across a SMB network. Not sure where this should go; perhaps net-im/LinPopUp. This package depends on gtk+-1.2* and samba (not sure which version, I've used >=samba-2.2.7 since that's what I've tested it with). NB: this is my first 'from-scratch' ebuild, so please check it for correctness. LinPopUp is unusual in that it doesn't use a ./configure script, and 'make install' installs things all over the place, so I've written my own install routine in the ebuild.

sorry i dont have the time to look at this :(
this ebuild generates sandbox violation instead of mkdir -p /var/lib/linpopup please use dodir man 5 ebuild
Created attachment 6975 [details] LinPopUp-1.2.0.ebuild (second try) Corrected ebuild as per comment 3, and tested more thoroughly this time :-) Sorry about that. (BTW, why won't Bugzilla let me make the previous attachment obsolete?)
it's a bug in bugzilla 2.15 they're working to upgrade to 2.17
added in cvs. http://cvs.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-x86/net-im/linpopup/linpopup- 1.2.0.ebuild?rev=1.1&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup thx.
