Description Vlad Berditchevskiy 2006-01-09 11:27:42 UTC
gtk+ has been updated to 2.8.8 in the stable branch. Now emacs-cvs doesn't work any more. The following error is displayed when emacs is run:

emacs: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libcrux-engine.so: undefined symbol: uninstall_all_focus_hooks

Recompiling emacs (with +gnome USE flag) did not help.

have you tried revdep-rebuild?
Comment 2 Vlad Berditchevskiy 2006-02-08 18:04:41 UTC
Yes, it did not find any problems. I recompiled then emacs without gtk support, and it works. This is the only workaround I know about.
Comment 3 Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-08 21:32:17 UTC
is it possible you're using a theme which was uninstalled?
Comment 4 Vlad Berditchevskiy 2006-02-09 16:32:56 UTC
No, I think it's not possible, because I'm using the Crux theme for all other applications without this problem.
Comment 5 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-01 22:50:22 UTC
Do you still have this problem?
Comment 6 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-02 09:55:09 UTC
No reaction for a long time, and this should be solved upstream.
