Description Yaroslav Isakov 2006-01-09 11:23:53 UTC
I use ivman-0.6.6 , hal-0.5.5.1-r3 , dbus-0.50-r2 and UTF-8-enabled Gentoo. Ivman doesn't use utf8 parameter when i mount cdrom in Russian encoding (if i say 'mount /dev/hdc -o utf8 -t iso9660 /media/cdrom', my cdrom mounted with utf8). I also add entry in fstab, but ivman doesn't see this

Your fstab entry is supposed to be respected by ivman. The only known reason why an fstab entry is not used is when the entry references a symlink instead of the actual device node. Can you please make sure this is not the case? If you are sure, please post the relevant line of fstab, the output of 'ls -l /dev/hdc' where /dev/hdc is the device referenced in fstab and the log output of ivman.
