Description Joshua J. Berry 2006-01-08 11:59:36 UTC
Contrary to the dependencies listed in the ebuild, HTML::Mason does not require Apache, though it can make use of it if installed. Some of us want to be able to use Mason without having to also install Apache (because Mason can do more than serve webpages).

Please add an apache USE flag to this ebuild, or remove the dependency entirely.

Thanks.

Which ebuild are you referring to? Anything in the 1.3X series correctly bases the dep on whether you have mod_perl support first (which optional)

I am referring to 1.26, which is the latest stable version on x86. (It unconditionally depends on libapreq, which also pulls in Apache.) Unless something has changed in the past few days, 1.3* is still marked unstable.

fixed in 1.3X, and that is stable now ;)
