Hi together,

I have a suggestion for an enhancement of etc-update:
Wouldn't it be possible to make an automatism, that etc-update automerges "almost" all, but _only_those_ files, which did not have been edited by root before?
My idea is, to make a checksum (or something like that) on all files that etc-update could update. Etc-update should get a new option then, which allows to automerge only those files, whose checksum is untouched (since the last update).
