When using bitlbee and msn messenger accounts, a lot of rubbish is printed to the &bitlbee channel in this form <@root> MSN - Saving removed@hotmail.com's buddy image to: /tmp/removed.cbb2d3f17cabd38d16a09394e21284a9.png <@root> MSN - File /tmp/removed.cbb2d3f17cabd38d16a09394e21284a9.png received successfully! <@root> MSN - removed@hotmail.com downloaded my buddy image! <@root> MSN - My buddy image successfully sent to removed@hotmail.com and a lot of lines repeating <@root> MSN - Not downloading buddy image from removed@hotmail.com because we already have it cached! This patch is a simple comment-out of the lines in the source that cause these messages. Maybe it could be added as a USE flag for users wanting a bit of piece and quiet

Have you tried sending this upstream yet? I'd rather not include patches that aren't available from the bitlbee.org website
They will say -and I agree- that it is ridiculous. Bitlbee is all about freedom. You can use your IRC client's ignore function if you don't want to see those messages. Cheers.
Please speak to upstream about this patch. Unless a patch can be fetched via bitlbee.org, I don't plan on including them in the ebuild.
