I did a fresh rsync at about 10:00 EST on 12/8/2002, edited packages.mask, and ran emerge -pu kde. I received the following message: emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "~kde-base/arts-1.1.0.5". I grep'd the portage directory for "1.1.0.5" and only found one entry in the changelog for arts. I can't figure out where this is comming from. If I "cp arts-1.1.0_rc5.ebuild arts-1.1.0.5.ebuild", I get what I expect: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild U ] kde-base/arts-1.1.0.5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegames-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdebase-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdenetwork-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] dev-libs/glib-2.0.7 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeaddons-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeadmin-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdetoys-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdepim-3.1_rc5 [ebuild N ] media-libs/glut-3.7-r2 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegraphics-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeedu-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeutils-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeartwork-3.1_rc5 [ebuild U ] kde-base/kde-3.1_rc5 I am sorry I don't have any more to go on. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Tony
i renamed arts-1.1.0.x ebuilds yesterday, so this bug should be gone after an emerge sync (seems like there was an incomplete renaming in rsync).
will close this since it works in current cvs/rsync. please reopen if it still does not work for you.
