. Minimise the number of kernel version occurrences because they need to be updated on every release.
. USE="-doc symlink" emerge bleh-sources and mention that symlink is not required for a new install but ensures the /usr/src/linux symlink is properly created.
. Leave the check that it has been created, but remove the manual symlink creation
. remove 'copying the .config file'
. remove the devfs bit, it's not even OBSOLETE and is not a kernel option anymore. Mind sparc though, sparc-sources are still 2.4

I'll do it if no one beats me to it :)

This is just for feedback on how the changes will be made to all the following handbooks. I'm also working on substituting "<version>" instead of specifying an exact version.

So "install gentoo-sources-2.6.12" would read "install gentoo-sources-<version>" instead. :)

Better example, now includes proper removal of /dev references, and also substitutes generic <version> descriptions where necessary, and removes unnecessary references to specific kernel versions. Like it so far? I'm doing all the other docs this way ATM.

This is it. All arches networked handbook with the requested fixes. Please review and add comments and suggestions where necessary. I'll start in on the 2005.1 handbook in the same manner as this one (unless I hear otherwise), and will have a separate patch for that in...awhile. This one took like 2 hours to do.
