Z-Machine is a VM standard for interactive fiction. GLK is a library interface abstracting away system-dependent details in interactive fiction user interfaces. Nitfol is a Z-Machine implementation using GLK library.

The website is accessible and the files are downloadable (albeit not with firefox for some odd readon).

However the dev-libs/glkloader dependency is nowhere to be found in 
my tree/packages.gentoo.org/bugs.g.o

For glkloader see bug #116062.

(It's right there in the dependencies. WONTFIX, but did work last time I checked.)

This project looks like dead, last date on the homepage is Oct 2003.

According to Sourceforge, someone is working on the again project. Last commit was made on Sep 3 2010, last release was version 0.6. But seems like nitfol depends on dev-lang/nemerle, which is hardmasked (bug #259700).
