Description Clemens Oertel 2002-12-08 08:23:14 UTC
What's happening now:
If I deliberately install a newer version of a package that has been masked, portage tries to downgrade it when I run a worldwide upgrade. If something becomes masked after I've installed it, same thing.

What I'd like:
It'd be nice if the portage system would check the version number in adition to the masked-criterion. If the installed version is newer, it should be left alone.

Thx

This is desired behavior. Pin it in your world file, or
wait until I finish sticky and/or ignore masks.
