i don't understand what's wrong with eq-xmms or the main xmms equalizer it works fine here.
Me neither... Now how do I proove to you that _it_does_not_work_ on my system?
what plugins are you using... try removing all of them and see where is the problem.
Okay, the problem is caused by xmms-mad-0.8. This can easily be tested since (de)activation of the plug in is enough to show the problem. There is a similar bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35868 - fyi.
eq-xmms was bumped can you try and see if it works ? Reopen if you have the same problem.
