Tested on alpha and produced two different crashes, see Bug #118487 and Bug #118488.

Alpha seems like you are the only arch that have this problem... Please remove the keyword or provide a fix.

Alpha is not the only arch with this problem. I tried xmms-volnorm on ppc and was able to reproduce both Bug #118487 and Bug #118488.

Here is the fix... it simply sets the pointer array elements in smooth[] to NULL after they've been free()'d. I've tested this fix on both alpha and ppc. On both archs it fixes both Bug #118487 and Bug #118488.
