After stabilizing >=media-libs/libexif-0.6, as per bug #114978, the stable version of media-gfx/fbi no longer compiles.
The media-gfx/fbi-1.31-r2 ebuild has a patch for this issue, and according to bug #87203 and my own testing, it appears to work.

As far as I am concerned, it's OK to go with this on all affected arches.

I did check the whole tree, but missed this one apparently. Sorry. Nevertheless, the libexif ebuild preserves the older lib, so this should not be too problematic.

fbi is not ready for modular X, it depends on xorg-x11-6.99 when Useflag X is enabled.

That should be corrected, I think...

I can't compile fbi-1.31-r2, see here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-420521-highlight-.html

I am using libexif-0.6.12-r4
Any idea?

Okay, it seems that Spock added libFS as dependency (why? this is a shell-programm), so I merged libFS it manually. I am using Xorg7, maybe the problem can be found their.

Question @ Spock:
Why have you added libFS as simple dependency, as you can see my USEFLAG for fbi is set to "-X" and fbi doesn't require Xorg?

media-gfx/fbi is now masked and will be removed from the tree in approximately 30 days.
