Description Karol Krizka 2005-12-31 13:45:25 UTC
For some time now I have been getting the following problem. When I boot my computer, I get a error message: "failed to mount /dev: resource busy" when it is supposedly mounting initramfs. This results in a problem that alsa cannot be started, but it can be fixed with udevstart and restarting alsa.

I use the following on a amd64 machine:
sys-fs/udev-079
sys-kernel/suspend2-sources-2.6.14-r7

What kernel version are you using?

And does this go away if you do not use the suspend2 stuff?

Comment 2 Karol Krizka 2005-12-31 17:46:20 UTC
sys-kernel/suspend2-sources-2.6.14-r7

I tried it with gentoo-sources-2.6.14-r6 and got the same problem. I'm using the same config though through genkernel's --kernel-config option and have been for some time.

Try genkernel 3.3.10.
Comment 4 Karol Krizka 2006-01-04 16:45:20 UTC
Works :)!

But there were some errors durring genkernel, so I'll open a new bug with them.
