RSBAC is a flexible, powerful and fast access control framework for current Linux kernels, this package includes a range of access control models like MAC, RC, ACL. The RSBAC framework is based on the Generalized Framework for Access Control (GFAC) by Abrams and LaPadula. Note that after the installation of this package the user will need rsbac-admin (just posted as bug# 11721) that depends on dialog (just posted as bug#11719 :))))
Created attachment 6269 [details] rsbac-sources-2.4.20 For this package i suggest sys-kernel/rsbac-sources Plz note that after the installation of this package the user will need rsbac-admin (just posted as bug# 11721) that depends on dialog (just posted as bug#11719 :))))
Created attachment 6270 [details] ChangeLog ChangeLog file for RSBAC :))
Created attachment 6271 [details, diff] A little patch This little patch is required for correct compilation Que
Created attachment 6298 [details] rsbac-sources-2.4.20.ebuild (re-formatted) This is the same ebuild only re-formatted (and some 'echo' were changed to 'einfo') :)) Que
can this be SOMEWHAT easily merged with other patches, or is it really best to make ANOTHER kernel sources type for it?
well rsbac kernel is really really different from a normal kernel and it isn't as simple as grsecurity for managing, you have to assign the right permissions to every bin, you need two particular users because root is not enough and so on (the WHOLE system managing is affected)...btw i'm not an expert so i leave this choice to you without problems, choose what you think is better for the distribution, i have no problems :))))) and thanx for you work Que
is there someone looking at this ebuild... it's becoming old waiting here :pppppp Que
Brandon: If you are lacking the time for this bug, you can assign it to me if you like. -r
You asked for it (in general unless I've commented that I'm "working on it" or some such it is OK to steal my bugs... thanks.)
