Description Thomas Bettler 2005-12-30 05:37:07 UTC
with ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051216 I'm no more able to play motion jpeg videos.
revdep-rebuild doesn't help, neither rebuild xine-lib.

hmm?
ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051120 worked well. After downgrading everything is ok again.
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-30 05:40:49 UTC
Reopen with 'emerge -pv ffmpeg' and emerge -pv xine-lib' output, we can't guess.
Comment 2 Thomas Bettler 2005-12-30 06:18:40 UTC
Pardon, I was a bit too short...
Xine then asks if it shall play it anyway... choosing yes result in audio only.
Kaboodle neither shows the video and directly starts playing the audiotrack alone.

# emerge -pv ffmpeg xine-lib

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Can you point to a sample file that does not play?
Comment 4 Thomas Bettler 2005-12-30 08:35:41 UTC
Obviously I made a mistake or something changed with newer patchlever version in xine-lib-1.1.1-r3.
Anyway, it works for me now after I recompiled ffmpeg and xine-lib.
