Description Hans-Christian Armingeon 2005-12-30 03:22:25 UTC
Hi,

kernel 2.6.14-r5 doesn't work wit an easyRAID F8.

Here some snippets from the kernel mesages (full dmesg attached as a file):

scsi0:A:8:0: Tagged Queuing enabled. Depth 32
 target0:0:8: Beginning Domain Validation
 target0:0:8: wide asynchronous.
target0:0:8: Domain Validation skipping write tests
scsi0: Transmission error detected

Looks like a bad cable, but the same setup hasn't been changed for 1.5 years.
O This is our fileserver, and it hadn't any problems/crashes/unexpected file errors.
[...]

scsi: On host 0 channel 0 id 8 only 511 (max_scsi_report_luns) of 4448 luns reported, try increasing max_scsi_report_luns.
scsi: host 0 channel 0 id 8 lun 0x701d1680ffffffff has a LUN larger than currently supported.

Johnny
