Hi, As i read today 3.1 release is delayed to begin 2003. So I think including 3.0.5 in gentoo might be a good thing. as there are few (but important!) changes .4->.5 this should be easy.
the changelog http://www.kde.org/announcements/changelogs/changelog3_0_4to3_0_5.html contains mainly two security fixes which are already in portage (in kdelibs-3.0.4-r1 and kdenetwork-3.0.4-r1). in http://dot.kde.org/1039281841/ they describe why kde-3.1 is delayed. and when their security audit is finished, there will be also patches for kde-3.0.x i think it is best to wait until they have patches, because 3.0.4->3.0.5 contains not many fixes/features.
kde-3.0.5a is in portage. all should be happy now :) thanks.
