Since tcsh-6.13-r1 many changes have been made to the way tcsh is installed and behaves after numerous complaints. Version 6.14-r2 has been running stable for a while now and should be ready to go stable. Please mark stable for your arch. A simple sanity check can be performed like this: - emerge =app-shells/tcsh-6.14-r2 - start the shell (ie. tcsh) - observe a prompt like "(host:dir) user%" for normal users - perform an ls - start an application and suspend it (Ctrl-Z) - perform another command (ie. "ls -la") - bring the suspended application back using "fg" and quit - print the internal version using "echo $version" - check that gentoo's env.d vars are present in the environment, for example using "env" It's a bit stupid procedure, I'm sorry for that, couldn't think of something more creative.
