no need for eutils
don't quote ${A}
error check sed
don't use egamesinstall
don't install COPYING or INSTALL
is prepallman really needed?

Here is an improved ebuild with version bump.

did you try this ebuild? It doesn't work for me. Goes looking for data files in /usr/games/share/sdljump
Comment 6 Paul Bredbury 2006-03-06 13:39:35 UTC
Sorry for the delay, I neglected to add myself to the cc for this bug.

Yes, I've reinstalled the ebuild and it works fine on my Athlon-XP, picking up the files in /usr/share/games/sdljump.

Now that you mention it, I do see in the compilation messages the following, although it seems to have no consequence:

-DPREFIX=\"/usr/games\" -DDATA_PREFIX=\"/usr/games/share\"

I too am curious about the recommendation not to use egamesinstall - it seems like a wonderful shortcut for a lot of standard configuration settings.
