Description Harris Landgarten 2005-12-26 15:16:18 UTC
After emerging mhash-0.9.3, apache2 fails to start with mhash_free unknown symbol error. dev-lang/php will no long emerge failing with the same error.

emerge =mhash.0.9.2 fixes the problem

Better assigned the other way round, it seems.
Comment 2 Luca Longinotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-26 15:24:48 UTC
PHP upstream is aware of this and they think it's mhash's fault, see http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=35686 .
Best regards, CHTEKK.

-r1 has a patch that re-adds the symbol now.
However I've also blocked 0.9.3* as the HMAC testcase fails on a Pentium-M machine.
