net-p2p/kift-0.8.1-r2 and net-p2p/giftcurs-0.5.2 have 
">=net-p2p/gift-0.10.0_pre020705" and ">=net-p2p/gift-0.10.0_pre020527" as a 
dependency. gift has been replaced by gift-cvs. You can't install the 2 ebuilds 
and it also breaks emerge world -u --deep (if you have one or both ebuild(s) 
installed).

I just deleted Kift from Portage, and giftcurs 0.5.5 is the latest, which has the right dep.. Are 
you using another platform than x86?

I have a X86, but 0.5.2 is for the sparc and sparc64, I guess you need to 
unmask 0.5.5 for those platforms or adjust the RDEPEND-variable.
