xplc is broken, not e2fsprogs
Adding mrness to CC since its his package.
huh? why would be xplc package the faulty one? uuidgen utility installed by xplc is a more complete program, that expand functionality present in the utility installed by e2fsprogs. I'd say e2fsprogs should should cease to install uuidgen. how do you see this collision solved?
e2fsprogs is part of the base system. I'm going to assume people that are going to be using uuidgen expect it to be the "default" one. I'd have the xlpc one named differently to resolve the collision.
okay, but what name should I use?
Prefix it with xplc-?
-r1 submitted, having uuid utilities prefixed with xplc-.
Closing, the solution works fine for me.
