Description Arun Sen 2005-12-23 23:22:11 UTC
GPass is a password management application for GNOME2 desktop.

Using GPass allows you to manage a large amount of passwords in one application. The password database can be accessed using a blowfish encrypted password.

I suggest it goes into: gnome-extra/gpass

confirm, but isn't working with gnome-2.14, same for version 0.5
workaround as mentioned here http://projects.netlab.jp/dev/gpass/ticket/52

LDFLAGS='-export-dynamic'

gpass-0.5.1.ebuild

I have done a simple update of the ebuild posted above, and added the LDFLAGS="-export-dynamic" as discussed. I have also updated the dependencies.

I have tested this successfully on:
x86, Gnome 2.12, GCC 3.4.6
x86, Gnome 2.14, GCC 4.1.1
Comment 8 Jose Marino 2006-12-18 14:40:20 UTC
Tested latest gpass-0.5.1 ebuild and I can confirm that it works fine with the latest stable gnome-2.16

I've tested it in two machines: x86 and amd64.

This ebuild has been in the making for a very long time already. Are there any hopes that gpass will get added to portage?

Hi I am not coming across such issue the first time, there are many new software that was ignored by gentoo. Once the distribution that has most latest software, gentoo seems to be falling behind. What is blocking this going to the ebuild anyway?

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.
Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.
