Looks like the quickstarter stuff is broken somehow (oddly it works here), or a dependency is missing. Are you all on kde or others with a full gnome installation?
Comment 6 Andrew Barr 2005-12-23 09:08:37 UTC
KDE 3.5
Comment 7 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 09:16:52 UTC
Oddly this shouldn't even be built if you don't have gnome or gtk in your use flag.

Could you all please post which use-flags you are building this with, just do emerge -pv openoffice
Comment 8 Andrew Barr 2005-12-23 09:21:49 UTC
frink ~ # emerge -pv openoffice

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Comment 9 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 09:39:17 UTC
Ok, I'e backed out the quickstarter stuff for now, so emerge sync after giving the mirrors some time to catch up (if you are unsure there should be a new noquickstarter.diff patch in the files/2.0.1-dir) and try again.

I think the problem only arises if you have -gnome -gtk +kde, please confirm that this is the combination you are using, to make sure (that excludes Andrew as we already know that ;) )

same error as reported above
Comment 11 Dead Schorsch 2005-12-23 12:01:13 UTC
Fails with that error too, but with different last lines. Full Gnome, no KDE components at all:

I'll try merging it at night...
Comment 13 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 12:13:40 UTC
@Christoph: Yours is a totally different bug, the number 65280 is generic and used for EVERY build breakage. Anyway, look here this is fixed already:

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116432
Comment 14 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 13:14:28 UTC
I've modified the ebuild again, so that the quickstarter stuff does not get built on KDE-only systems (as this seem to be the only on affected), while with gnome or gtk in the USE-flag you get it.

So, this should be resolved, please report back, if it is fixed for you now
Comment 15 Peter Thomassen 2005-12-23 15:54:57 UTC
I'll try again this night.

Is the quickstarter really completely unusable with KDE? Actually, it is not a good bug fix to just remove the bad component ...
Comment 16 Andrew Barr 2005-12-23 17:49:20 UTC
I will build it overnight tonight and report in the morning.
Comment 17 Michal G 2005-12-23 21:37:51 UTC
OK, problem disappeared for me.
Comment 18 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 23:05:29 UTC
@Peter: The quickstarter is not unusable under kde, but needs gtk to build, so without gtk or gnome in your use-flag > no way. So nothing gets lost with the current solution, actually it is now how it should have been from the beginning anyway.
Comment 19 Andrew Barr 2005-12-24 19:19:07 UTC
Everything is a-OK here!

Works here, too.

Thanks everyone for reporting back!

Ok, pastebin's link is empty now.
