happened tonight again: I add a comment in a bug I am neither reporter nor assignee I am not added to CC I never get feedback on my comment. Tonight, 15mn after leaving my comment, I have the magical idea to come back to the bug to check whether I am CC or not ... there was already the answer to my new question; if I had not have the magical idea to come back, I d have never been notified of the answer.
1/ AFAIK there's no such option in Bugzilla, feature requests need to go upstream. 2/ There's a check-box just under the comment field, is it that hard to check it before clicking on commit? 3/ Finally, I'd find such a feature as *extremely* annoying, I really don't want to be CCed on every bug I comment on, as I would end up being CCed on all bugs marked as a dupe/invalid/closed/wontfix/whatever (i.e., any resolution that requires a comment). That's really the last thing I need, I'm already watching various aliases, don't need to receive bugspam twice/multiple times.
I agree that being automatically CCed on every bug you comment on could lead to unnecessary bugspam, especially when bugs are marked as duplicates, invalid, or closed. It would be overwhelming to manage all the notifications, particularly if you're already subscribed to other aliases and updates. It's better to manually opt in when relevant rather than be forced into receiving all updates. https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=917806 https://pizzatowergame.io/
