Description Lubos Dolezel 2005-12-21 14:12:43 UTC
When I emerge ~x86 xine-lib-1.1.1-r3 codecs like XviD stop working:

The stream whatever.avi used an unsupported codec:
Video Codec: XviD format (XVID) Start playback anyway?

Works fine with xine-lib-1.1.1-r2 (~x86).

Try running a revdep-rebuild, xvid is not directly used by xine to decode xvid/divx/mpeg4 files, instead ffmpeg is used.
As ffmpeg changes interface from time to time, if you rebuild ffmpeg after xine-lib, it breaks the ffmpeg decoding plugin and stops playing xvid and other video types.
