Description Sunny 2005-12-21 08:23:22 UTC
Hi,
The instructions say, that I should do this in that order:
1. create boot partition
2. create swap partition
3. ENABLE the swap partition
4. create root and LVM partitions

This sequence is not working, as once the swap is on, the kernel and udev will no longer create device nodes under /dev, so the new partitions are not visible there. One can still see them in fdisk, but there are no nodes /dev/hda3 and /dev/hda4.

Cheers
Sunny
