Description Jan Marten Simons 2005-12-21 06:48:22 UTC
oopadmin2 (bin version) gets killed from PaX. Chpax does not adress this yet. I think this could be causing a problem where fonts cannot be printed from OOo2 but only viewed on screen.

I'm not sure, if other binaryies of OOo2 are affected as well.

What is the exact path the the bin in question?
Comment 2 Jan Marten Simons 2006-01-25 10:39:55 UTC
# which oopadmin2
/usr/bin/oopadmin2
# ll /usr/bin/oopadmin2
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 39 30. Nov 11:44 /usr/bin/oopadmin2 -> /usr/lib/openoffice/program/spadmin.bin

This is fixed for paxctl (PT_PAX_FLAGS) marking in the latest openoffice ebuild which sets 'm' for all openoffice binaries via -Wl,-z,execheap.

Looks like they no longer need that, just pax-marking /usr/$(get_libdir)/openoffice/program/soffice.bin.
