Description David E.Miller 2002-12-05 00:18:35 UTC
The tarball for this ebuild is missing from the www.ibiblio.org site and the
site www.gftp.org does not respond. The ebuild fails due to a lack of the source
tarball.

on 12/5 was able to successfully build gftp-2.0.14rc1. Connection successful
with www.gftp.org. Tarball still missing at www.ibiblio.org. Maybe it is not
supposed to be there, but there is a tarball there for a previous version of
gftp.
Comment 2 Andreas Waschbuesch 2002-12-05 16:12:43 UTC
On 12/5 none of my boxes (_different_ nets) was able to connect. All cron jobs
*/15 (mins) failed ...

$ nmap -v -sS www.gftp.org

shows zero open ports. Could U mirror things please?
Comment 3 Aniruddha Shankar 2002-12-05 21:53:21 UTC
the src uri given in the ebuild is incorrect. I managed to hardcode the proper url into the ebuild and rebuild the ebuild digest but I got a build error complaining about the lack of a config file.

That's probably because the ebuild itself is wrong. Should have guessed it from
the "strange" naming ... Try the 2.0.14 and not rc1 - it compiles fine (to the end).

added to cvs.
