Description Jan Hrabe 2005-12-16 19:14:58 UTC
It seems that horde applications such as horde-3.0.9 framework itslef, imp-4.0.4, and turba-2.0.5 change the ownership of their config subdirectories to root:root. This disables all these applications after every single upgrade because Apache web server cannot read these directories then.

The solution probably is to change the group ownership of these directories to apache group and not temper with it during installation of upgrades.

vapier - if this is indeed an issue, it should be possible to mark that dir as webapp_serverowned
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2006-01-10 10:46:28 UTC
it already does, read horde.eclass src_install()
Comment 3 Renat Lumpau (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-10 12:33:05 UTC
ok, closing then
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2006-01-10 16:55:47 UTC
not really ... the eclass has *always* been like that
Comment 5 Renat Lumpau (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-03 13:06:47 UTC
Is this still an issue?

It looks like it's been fixed, the config subdirectories keep their group ownership (apache) now.

reopen if necessary
