Since there seems to be no ebuild for ledblink yet (http://www.bitplanet.de/unix/ledblink.html, written by Jörg Mensmann - I already got his approval for writing an ebuild), I tried to write one. I have also created a small patch which, if applied, makes it possible for non-root users to use the program (if the executable is made suid root). For choosing whether it should be applied or not, I made a use flag "nonroot". Plus, I made an init.d-script and a conf.d-file, since ledblink must be first started as a "daemon". With the initscript and the config file, it is possible to choose which daemons (for which LEDs) should be started or stopped at boot time. This is the first ebuild I wrote, so I am not familiar with the exact procedure - should I include the patch, the initscript and the config file in this bug report? I didn't see any mention of this in the documentation... BTW, the ebuild is configured to download the source code from http://www.bitplanet.de/files/ledblink-0.85.tar.gz. The page owner told me that traffic should not be a problem (it's a 15 KB file).
