Hello! there is ebuild for Parallels virtual machine which you can find at www.parallels.com. I think it should be in app-emulation/Parallels-workstation. Peter. PS sorry for my english ;)

Is there any reason why we don't add this to the Portage tree? I mean, it seems that the company producing Parallels Workstation wants to officially support Gentoo and maintain the ebuild themselves; what could we ask more?
I'd like to know why this isn't in the portage tree.

Parallels requires a few modules in order to run. At the moment, it just tells you to run parallels-config as root which compiles them, but I was wondering if there was any interest in creating an ebuild for the modules so that way they can be caught by module-rebuild when you upgrade kernels. If so, I can give it a shot.
