I compared the /usr/portage/distfiles/snmp-0.6.0.gem file with the gem
downloaded by "gem install snmp" and they appear to be identical.

By the way, quite a few of the mirrors are reporting "not found" on the Portage
version.

should be fixed now (digest anyway).
