Description Tim Haughton 2002-12-03 16:26:37 UTC
Everything was fine until an unusually large number of updates yesterday. Built
new kernel, copied .config file across, did make oldconfig, installed modules
etc. When I came to rebuild the nvidia stuff, I get an ebuild error:

!!! ERROR: media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.3123-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line -13, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

I've deleted all traces of nvidia off my system, including the source tarball.
Doing an emerge causes it to re-fetch the tar. It still produces the same error.

As a side note, this is my main PC that I use for business correspondance, I'm
hoping any help comes swiftly :) Cheers.

What kernel package/kernel version are you using ?
Comment 4 Tim Haughton 2002-12-04 14:13:31 UTC
I will now hang my head in shame.

In updating the kernel, I'd forgotten to change the /usr/src/linux link, it was
still pointing to the previous kernel sources. Changed link, all is fine now.

Apologies for wasting time.

Not a problem, glad you got it working :)
