I have had this problem since upgrading from the latest 3.4.x version to 3.5.0. I have the setting enabled that allows me to go back on page in the browser's history by simply right clicking (Configure Konqueror - Web Behavior - Mouse Behavior - [X] Right click goes back in history). Lately when browsing eBay listings, if I right click to go back, the browser has crashed. Completely disappears from the monitor it is on. This problem is sporadic though. It does not happen all the time. I am unsure whether clicking the back button in the menu will cause the browser to crash, but I do not believe it does (rarely use that). I am also unsure if this happens on other sites; I've been hitting eBay mostly the last week or two. I'd let this slide, but I use this "right click to go back" feature quite a bit. It's a damn good feature that I miss when I use Firefox at work. Not sure what else I can tell you to clue you in, but here's my emerge info FYI: poe gregg # emerge info Portage 2.0.53 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r3, 2.6.14-gentoo-r3 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.14-gentoo-r3 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.12.0_pre11 ccache version 2.4 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.4.2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.16 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r7 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1-r1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.20-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/pub/linux/gentoo ftp://gentoo.mirrors.tds.net/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X a52 aac acpi alsa apache2 arts audiofile avi bash-completion berkdb bitmap-fonts bzip2 bzlib cdr crypt cups curl dts dv dvd dvdr dvdread eds encode esd exif expat fam ffmpeg flac foomaticdb freetype frontendonly gdbm gif glut gmp gstreamer idn imagemagick imap imlib innodb jikes jpeg kde kdeenablefinal kdexdeltas lcms libg++ libwww live mad maildir matroska mhash mime mjpeg mmx mmxext mng mp3 mpeg mplayer mysql mythtv nas ncurses network nls nptl nptlonly nvidia ogg oggvorbis openal opengl oss pcre pdflib perl png python qt quicktime rar readline real rtc sdl sndfile sockets speex sse sse2 ssl svg tcpd theora tidy tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev usb v4l2 vhosts vorbis win32codecs xine xinerama xml2 xpm xv xvid zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS Thanks! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Browse eBay pages, perhaps other web sites in konqueror-3.5.0 (including -r1) 2. Right click to go back in browser's history. 3. Browser crashes. Have to start it again.
You may want to try running konqueror inside of gdb to see if you can get a backtrace, but you'll probably want to notify the konqueror devs at bugs.kde.org so they can investigate and hopefully patch the problem.
