I would really like to see Demarc Pure Secure packaged and included in Gentoo. I

i actually have somewhat of an ebuild for this already, i made
it a looong time ago..  incidentally, it was one of the reasons
i wanted the abililty to do:

  DEPEND="net-misc/snort:mysql"

because demarc needs to have snort compiled with mysql.  if not
then it wont work.

anyway, it wasnt exactly an 'easy' ebuild as you need to run
a couple of mysql scripts and such.

i'll work on this as time provides, and as features evolve
in portage..  maybe i can make a test version available.

this has sat in my list for too long -- and if somebody else
wanted to work on it they should go ahead.

I'm going to close this as probably on-one will make an ebuild anytime soon, and else they can reopen this bug
