Description Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-10 10:53:07 UTC
Can someone remove the ~ on this package AND net-misc/sobby-0.3.0 and
net-libs/obby-0.3.0 and net-libs/net6-1.2.2
Comment 1 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-10 15:02:17 UTC
Do you mean 0.2.2? You just added the 0.3.x stuff yesterday.

What looks sane to me to have marked stable are the follow:
app-editors/gobby-0.2.2
net-misc/sobby-0.2.0
net-libs/obby-0.2.1

The ones you listed are all incredibly new.
Comment 2 Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-10 18:27:16 UTC
I really mean the 0.3.0 as they were really well tested as rc's (that i removed
yesterday) and by a group of some 20 users with diferent setups (all gentoo of
course)
Comment 3 Joshua Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-10 23:24:58 UTC
gobby requires a >=gtkmm-2.6. As none are stable, need to have gnome herd take a
look and let us know what if any of the 2.6 gtkmm's are ready to be stable.
Attaching them as a cc

gnome-mm herd: ping
Comment 5 Joshua Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-21 21:08:38 UTC
stable on x86
Comment 6 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-23 06:15:32 UTC
gnome-mm is no longer needed to confirm, it got stable with gnome-2.12

all stable on amd64

x86: you forgot to mark net-misc/sobby-0.3.0 stable, readding you
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-23 06:29:09 UTC
Marked on x86... sorry about the confusion
Comment 8 Henrique Rodrigues 2006-04-09 11:12:28 UTC
Could this be marked stable for PPC also?

These packages are in package.mask. So I won't mark them stable. Re-add ppc when the issues are resolved.

This bug regards net-libs/obby-0.3.0, net-libs/sobby-0.3.0, net-misc/sobby-0.3.0 and net-libs/net6-1.2.2, wich are not masked. Only versions 0.4.0_rc are.

Quoting from package.mask:

# Gustavo Felisberto <humpback@gentoo.org> (12 Mar 2006)
# Dirty fix that needs testing, see Changelog
=net-libs/obby-0.3.0-r1
Comment 12 Wormo (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-24 23:40:56 UTC
The ugly hack was in obby-0.3.0-r1 as opposed to obby-0.3.0, which is the version other arches stabled, so we should be ok to stable 0.3.0 too.

However I did encounter one problem testing sobby-0.3.0, which is that the init script won't allow it to start up with useflag -howl due to the "need mDNSResponder" line. Could that be changed to "before mDNSResponder"?
Comment 13 Wormo (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-25 10:40:21 UTC
Sorry, by "before" I meant "after"
Comment 14 Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-28 07:49:05 UTC
=net-misc/sobby-0.3.0
=net-libs/obby-0.3.0-r1
=net-libs/net6-1.2.2
all got a shiny new ppc keyword. Enjoy :)
