Description Donald J. Axel 2005-12-08 09:33:25 UTC
GMP has never been installed before. I think kde-3.4 did not
request gmp.

The build process finishes several subdirs before failing
on the mpn - directory with the message:

libtool: unrecognized option `--tag=CC'
Try `libtool --help' for more information.

[Exiting subdirs etc...]

GMP is a free library for arbitrary precision arithmetic,
operating on signed integers, rational numbers, and floating
point numbers.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -a -v kdeutils
2. y

Ugh, it's not even in portage any more. Upgrade libtool to 1.5.20 (and other
system stuff in general).

Thank you very much! And thank you for supplemental information that
gcc-3.3.6 is ok for these packages (gmp and kde, no need to update
to gcc-3.4.0; changing g++ will make a complete rebuild of all
C++ code necessary).
