Description Darryl Barlow 2005-12-07 01:18:37 UTC
Openoffice-bin using version 2.0 will not run on amd64. Error message is:
"Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/generic/dl-tls.c: 75:
_dl_next_tls_m odid: Assertion `result
<= _rtld_local._dl_tls_max_dtv_idx' failed!" Others report that this version
runs on their systems. It did run temporarily immediately after upgrading gcc
to 3.4.4. but failed again on next reboot. Have tried reinstalling.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run ooffice2.

Actual Results:
Did not run. Disk activity for about 10 secs followed by above error.

Expected Results:
Showed 2.0 splash and started.

Asus A6QOOK Turion 64 bit with Gentoo for AMD 64, all compatibility libraries
and Nvidia drivers.

Great catch - that's why it does not have amd64 keyword, don't you think?

Sigh, it's -bin. Sorry, my mistake. Reopened.

Comment 4 Darryl Barlow 2005-12-07 02:07:44 UTC
Problem was nvidia driver 7667. Runs fine with version 8174 or with NV driver.

After trying for days I discovered this by accident after posting the bug.
Sorry for an inconvenience.
