Hmm, yep. Who's maintaining this? It's out of date again.

If you want a version bump, then at least state the version.

Version 1.1.0.1 is the latest stable release availble from here:

Well, the one in portage is 1.0.2.

I feel that this bug is no longer nessary with the release of eclipse-3.2 into portage. As the ebuild says:

 * Users can now install plugins via Update Manager without any
 * tweaking.

 * Eclipse plugin packages (ie eclipse-cdt) will likely go away in
 * the near future until they can be properly packaged. Update Manager
 * is prefered in the meantime.

Just use the update manager because it-just-works (tm).
