After installing sun-jre-bin-1.4.2.10 (32-bit) browser plugin is symlinked under /usr/lib64/nsbrowser/plugins instead of /usr/lib32/nsbrowser/plugins
Please include the contents of 'emerge info'.
sun-jre-bin is not keyworded for amd64 because it does not work there. Reopening to close as invalid.
Reopen if you are able to specify an actually valid error.
Keyworded or not, sun-jre-bin works on amd64 (at least for me). If it's not supposed to be installed on 64-bit system then it's really not a bug. But I think there should be a way to install 32-bit java, and sun-jre-bin-1.4.2.10 seems to be a good solution for me. The default virtual/jdk provider for amd64 is blackdown-jdk. You can also install =sun-jre-bin-1.5* on amd64 so yes, sun-jre-bin-1.4* is not meant to be installed on amd64.
