I upgraded to KDE 3.5 and tried to recompile amarok 1.3.6 with visualization USE flag. With KDE 3.4, this build went perfectly. Not so with 3.5. I'm quite sure your problem is that libSDL is linked against the 3.4's arts. Check that sdl is built with +arts, then try to rebuild it. If it works, close this as INVALID.
revdep-rebuild should now support .la file messup.
