Description Paolo Pedroni 2005-12-02 06:27:31 UTC
I just upgraded to the latest stable version of K3B (0.12.4a), and I'm having
a problem: When I try to copy a CD, the "Start" button is greyed out. Making
data and audio CDs works fine. Only the "Copy CD" function seems to be
affected.

It is just the same for on-the-fly copies, image copies, clone copies,
everything.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch k3b
2. Click on copy CD
Actual Results:
"Start" button is greyed out and copy is not possible

Expected Results:
Started copying the CD

Comment 1 Paolo Pedroni 2005-12-02 06:37:28 UTC
Issue is apparently resolved in k3b-0.12.5
I'm compiling it now and will then report the results.
Comment 2 Paolo Pedroni 2005-12-02 07:26:57 UTC
I've verified that k3b-0.12.5 works in this regard. Can this ebuild be made
stable and 0.12.4a removed (as it's broken in a major way)?
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-06 15:41:16 UTC
Would you test the latest version and reply to bug 114669, please?
Comment 4 Paolo Pedroni 2005-12-06 20:43:30 UTC
I will check it as soon as I have some time (which could be as far as next
monday, I'm afraid). Then I'll get back to you.
Comment 5 Paolo Pedroni 2005-12-13 01:57:53 UTC
k3b-0.12.8 works very fine and (IMHO of course) can be marked stable. There's
also 0.12.9 with some nifty new features that can be added to the tree
(unstable, of course).

I'm cc:ing amd64 to this bug because I checked 0.12.8 at home on my AMD64 system
and it works there as well (time to mark stable?)
Comment 6 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-13 02:03:15 UTC
.9 is already in tree.
Comment 7 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-17 07:26:30 UTC
amd64 is already stable perhaps it's better add all archs to mark it stable too
Comment 8 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-17 07:57:18 UTC
The other arches with a stable k3b are already CCed to the stabilisation bug - so I guess they will do it when they get around to it.
Comment 9 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-23 09:03:15 UTC
Welcome media-optical as new co-maintaining herd.
Comment 10 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-24 04:27:20 UTC
0.12.8 stable, assuming issue resolved, otherwise reopen please.
