After scrolling the 'Backgrounds and Emblems' window clicked and selected items
are ompletely different.

could you explain this problem in more detail?  Hard to know exactly what you mean.

I've attached the screenshot. In my opinion there is some difference beetween "logical" scrolling of tile positions and the scrolling of the pictures. As you can see choosen pattern is different to displayed one. 

I will send this bug to GNOME - maybe it's better place for that bug cause it may be unrelated to Gentoo?
