In make.conf include spamassassin in the use flag section and emerge sylpheed-claws. Spamassassin and its dependencys are NOT compiled, therefore I have concluded that it is not including spamassassin features in Sylpheed-Claws. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.spamassassin in make.conf use flag section 2.emerge sylpheed-claws 3. Actual Results: It only compiled sylpheed-claws Expected Results: I expected spamassassin to be compiled also, and for some spamassassin functionality to be included in sylpheed-claws somehow. okay... that was complete stupidity on my end. just close this. i did find the plugins for spamassassin and I came to the conclusion that you might not be running your spamassassin service locally... so its not necessary that it is needed by the spamassassin flag. sorry
