esearch has an option called -e or --ebuild which searches for ebuilds of the
given package, lists them and given an option to show them. Output looks like this:

esearch -e mozilla-firefox:
[ I] www-client/mozilla-firefox (1.0.7-r2):  Firefox Web Browser
 Portage [1] mozilla-firefox-1.0.7-r2
 Portage [2] mozilla-firefox-1.0.7-r3
 Portage [3] mozilla-firefox-1.5

[ N] www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin (1.0.7):  Firefox Web Browser
 Portage [4] mozilla-firefox-bin-1.0.6-r2

that is obviously an upstream thing. And the upstream maintainer has no interest in making eix interactive at the moment. closing this as UPSTREAM
