there is no /var/tmp/portage/d4x/ after i emerge it. so i can't attach emerge's log.

i just emerged =d4x-2.5.6, and does the same thing

Can You change GTK theme to the (ugly) default? d4x is known to crash with certain GTK themes.
yup, changing gtk theme back to default d4x works. i use industrial for gtk, brace2 for metacity and gnome for icons. i say the bug still stands.
