Hi folks, as stated in bug 109151, the pgp.mit.edu is not the recommended keyserver, people should use the subkeys.pgp.net. List of affected docs follows. CCing (co)authors of listed documents - if you don't want to fix them, just give me a permisson and I'll do that for you. agriffis: gentoo/xml/htdocs/proj/en/keychain/index.xml wolf31o2: gentoo/xml/htdocs/proj/en/releng/release/2005.1/2005.1.xml koon, jaervosz: gentoo/xml/htdocs/security/en/coordinator_guide.xml koon: gentoo/xml/htdocs/security/en/vulnerability-policy.xml solar, klieber, koon: gentoo/xml/htdocs/security/en/index.xml GDP: gentoo/xml/htdocs/doc/en/handbook{/2005.1,}/hb-install-{x86,ppc64,amd64,ppc,sparc,alpha,hppa}-medium.xml

Changed all references, including the ones for 2005.0, 2004.3, and 2004.2's releases.
GDP - current and 2005.1 Handbooks fixed, pre-2005.1 releases are unmaintained.
After changing the pt_br ones, I'd like to know about gnupg-user.xml, the 's/pgp.mit.edu/subkeys.pgp.net/' did the job, but with GnuPG doc, it has a link for http://subkeys.pgp.net, and there's nothing there. What has do be done ? I changed and commited all the other docs.
(docs-team goes back to CC as we should fix the gnupg-user.xml) (In reply to comment #4) > After changing the pt_br ones, I'd like to know about gnupg-user.xml, the > 's/pgp.mit.edu/subkeys.pgp.net/' did the job, but with GnuPG doc, it has > a link for http://subkeys.pgp.net, and there's nothing there. Well, most of the keyservers use port 11371, so probably we should add it? I don't know if all the servers support it, though. FYI, gnupg-user.xml wasn't affected by this bug (was updated in #109151).
Okay, gnupg-user.xml fixed so that it contains port number 11371. docs-team out. Sorry for noise, agriffis.
This has nothing to do with docs-team, IMHO, as the only affected document is under /proj/en/keychain/, the only committers are agriffis and klieber and authors are agriffis and drobbins. Aaron, this bug is yours. Patch will follow.

Robin, could you please confirm that subkeys.pgp.net is really The Way To Go (tm)? 18:45 <@agriffis> jkt|: get robbat2 to confirm the change on bug 113849 first. ISTR that subkeys.pgp.net was deprecated or something.
Yes, The rotation 'subkeys.pgp.net' is preferred. An alternative rotation (that consists only of SKS servers) is 'random.sks.keyserver.penguin.de' If you want a web link to keyservers, use this: http://NAME:11371/ Where NAME is one of the rotations above. For reasoning about the subkey-server list, see this page: http://keyserver.kjsl.com/keyserver.html The random.sks.keyserver.penguin.de name is considerably more up to date (in terms of active servers being added and dead servers being trimmed), and very reliable. I'd like it if the documentation put both of these server rotations in.
All set, thanks guys
